Sometimes, choosing to just "go with the flow" can produce the most stunning of results. This beautiful photoshoot titled 'Siren' is a collaboration between two amazing talents - photographer Leigh Moose of Side Yard Studios and model / vintage store owner Emily Owen.

Emily owns the much-loved Virgin Vintage, and since 2008 she has been buying, selling and collecting stunning and one-of-a-kind vintage garments. What may surprise you is that when Emily isn't busy running a popular vintage boutique, then she is also spreading her wings among several other creative pursuits. Emily explains: "My work as a fashion, music and entertainment stylist since 2008 inspired my passion for vintage. Between buying and selling at VV, I still find inspiration in entertainment as an on-air host, lead vocalist for the band Seven and personal shopper. I’ve always got an affection for photography and modeling, which helps me to translate the look so you feel amazing grabbing it for yourself."

Emily also provides some information about how the shoot came to be, stating: "Leigh and I happened to be in the same location of Asheville, North Carolina (I am based in Sarasota, Fl) when we decided to use an old wedding dress from my collection and literally jump into a flowing river. We just went with 'the flow' and were very pleased with the results. We named her, Siren. She is a delicate mix between being in love with the water and wanting to escape to dry land. However, she is pulled back in by the current. The current being a metaphor for life."

Talented photographer Leigh Moose lives by the motto that, “Every photograph deserves a moment in time.” Although Leigh's creative work is mostly concentrated on artistic portraiture, she enjoys also taking the time to encourage a more “out of the box” approach to classic photography.

What may come as a surprise is that Leigh has not been "classically trained" in the medium of photography, however this has not stopped the young photographer from excelling in this field. Leigh has worked with several major local musicians and her photography has graced the cover of three CD’s. Her bio also explains: "Leigh has worked for Charleston Fashion week in the capacity of their lead runway and VIP photographer as well as her camera has had a presence at Paris Fashion week. Leigh’s fashion work has had the honor to reach publications such as the New York Daily Front Row, Charleston Magazine, Charleston Wedding Magazine, Southern Living and Italian Vogue."
