It's all white lace, flowers and porcelain skin on the Whim website this evening, as we feature this incredibly ethereal and whimsical photoshoot captured by Julie Brooker Photography. This series of images was sent to us by model Kae Bambi, and we couldn't help but want to interview the talented young model who is a self-described "Sailor senshi, anime fan, gamer and model."

We take our hats off to all of the creatives involved in this stunning shoot, as each element works together perfectly to create this unique editorial. Kae Bambi tells us more about the featured shoot in her interview below, and we hope you find her answers as intriguing and inspiring as we did!

................

Q: When did you first discover your love of modelling?A: I firstly started modelling my friend's designs when I was about 17, and went on from there. I really enjoyed the preparation before, the excitement during, and being able to see the photos afterwards. I love the whole process, I always wanted to do painting and drawing but I was never good at it, so I pour my creativity into my modelling. I am a big fan of different styles of photography, from fashion to conceptual to fantasy. I just really love it all, and love being a part of it.

Q: What inspires your creativity the most?A: I'm a big fan of paintings, I draw a lot of inspiration from them. I also really love fantasy books / movies etc. and walking around in nature.

Q: Please tell us a little about the experience you had whilst working on this photoshoot?A: This photoshoot was pretty last minute, but it ended up to work out really great I think. It was going to be another shoot but because of reasons we couldn't do it but still had the studio booked so we used that up. I had a few days or so to think of an idea and prepare it for the hair and makeup artists, so it was a bit frantic, only because I am a real planning nut and just need to prepare every last detail. The shoot went really well, everyone was lovely and did such a great job on it, especially the braid! I'm not really great at hairdressing so I was relishing in my new braid :)

Q: What does an average day in your life involve?A: When I wake up I generally start answering emails and planning shoots, cuddling my cats etc. I have two jobs and I am doing my honours thesis in psychology at the moment, so I'm either working, studying, napping, or working on a modelling project. I do also waste a whole heap of time on the internet looking up vintage furniture or inspiration for my modelling. In my down time I've been getting into fixing up old furniture, and going to garage sales etc for bargains. I've been able to get a lot of amazing vintage stuff from places you would least expect.

Q: What do you hope to achieve with your career in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?A: I do really want to go on tour to America eventually, go down the whole East Coast, as well as a few other touring plans in the works. But at the moment I'm still studying and working so I have commitments here. There are some exciting collaborations coming up but I can't really talk about them unfortunately!
