Anny To Photography's work has appeared here on the Whim website more than a few times before and today we have another treat from the talented photographer!

Titled 'The Secret Dolls', Anny explains that this shoot was shot back around Christmas time. She states: "We wanted to do something that was surrounded by dolls, living dolls, the secrets they hold, and of course have a set up that had twinkly lights because we love the magic of when the night comes to life."

We also have another treat for you - an interview with the skilful and inspiring make-up artist of this shoot - Ducky Rickman! We hope you find her answers as insightful and intriguing as we did:

..............

Q: When did your love of make-up artistry first bloom?

A: My love for makeup started around the awkward age of 13, just playing around with styling my friends before dances & such... I didn't start taking it seriously as an art until 18 or so.

Q: How would you describe yourself in just three words?

A: Oh man, 3 words? I'd say "determined to succeed" sums me up pretty well ♡

Q: When it comes to your career, what inspires your creativity the most?

A: I am so floored & inspired by avant garde/edgy editorial looks...anything goes & my creativity can truly shine. Nothing feels better to me than narrowing down that perfect balance between abstract & polished.

Q: Please tell us a little about the experience you had whilst working on this photoshoot?

A: This particular shoot is definitely in the top favorite creative looks I've ever done! I had never completed a doll look before, & had the best time bringing out my models' features to add that creep factor. Anny To has such an awesome eye, & I truly love the outcome of these shots.

Q: Lastly, what do you hope to achieve with your make-up artistry in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?

A: I plan on continuing to grow through my work, & I know the future holds a lot of exciting endeavours for me & my team... I plan on expanding my portfolio to any theme that will stand out from the crowd so here's to lots of creative juices flowing in the near future ♡
