"To me photography is my passion, capturing life and imagination is a way of expressing my thoughts about life.  I like to use analogue cameras and film,  I strive to captures life's important moments before they become lost forever. I observe natural light in all of my work, documenting the 'moment', real people, real places, real presence," she states.

You'll be happy to know that we have a lovely and inspiring interview with the photographer herself, so we hope you enjoy reading it below!

.

Q: When did you first discover your love of photography?A: I was only 13 when I fell in love with photography. I used to dress up my friends in my wardrobe and we would have pretend fashion shoots, just for fun. From a young age I was interested in art and studied it in school, But a lot of my art work was from my photography. My Granddad gave me a film camera, and taught me a few basics, I then learnt myself how to get a correct exposure. I was very obsessive, and still am obsessive. When at college a few years later I would spend days in the dark room developing and printing from film. I realised my love for photography even from a young age was to capture the beauty of life.

Q: What inspires your creativity the most?A: This is always a hard question, because the answer changes. It could be a beautiful movie, discovering new places, meeting new fascinating people, a bus journey. I would say everyday life is my inspiration, my surroundings, friends and adventures.

Q: How would you describe your work in just three words?A: Dreamy, Feminine, Nostalgic

Q: What does an average day in the life of Jade involve?A: Sketchbook work, emails, picture making, planning or editing, laughing with friends, adventures, lots of yummy food, books, films and cuddles with Lewis.

Q: What do you hope to achieve with your photography career in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?A: My biggest aim is to love what I’m doing. My dream is to be able to be a photographer / film maker working with brands, magazines and clients creating material for them to use. I have no set route, but would love to break into the industry and work by doing what I love to do which is telling stories.I have just finished designing a zine featuring all of my diary work called ‘for my friends’ which is basically like a love letter to them. Im hoping to push that forward. And I’ve just started a new body of work which has been brewing for a while, with lots of my ideas about life and this is all about ‘being a girl’.
