DIY: Tissue Paper Tassel Garland
These simple and quick tassels can be made as decorations for your next party, or for a more permanent display on your wall!
What You’ll Need:
- Cord or ribbon- Scissors- A minimum of two packs of tissue paper
Steps:
Step 1: Fold a singular piece of tissue paper in half, then fold in half again the other way.
Step 2: Cut the tissue paper into strips about 1-2cm wide, stopping at least 1 inch from the top.
Step 3: Unfold the tissue paper once and cut in half through the middle, making 2 sheets. (This is similar to Step 2, without leaving the top part uncut.) Unfold the tissue paper again.
Step 4: Slowly roll the tissue paper, keeping the middle part tightly together.
Step 5: Carefully ruffle your tissue paper so that all of the strips hang neatly.
Step 6: Fold in half, and then twist to make a loop at the top. Voila, your first tassel!
Step 7: Repeat Steps 1-6 in whatever colours you like, as many times as you like.
Step 8: Secure by twisting each tassel onto a long piece of thin cord or ribbon.
Step 9: Hang up your garland!
