Here's an utterly beautiful photoshoot by Sasha O Photography to kick-off your week in the most wonderful way.

Titled 'Covered in Peonies', this stunning series took place at Graefswinning in Belgium, just before the peony season was over.

The talented Sasha is a Ukrainian photographer based in Belgium. She explains: "I like storytelling, dreamy photos, with a bit of drama in it. This photo shoot was inspired by amazing location and we used the last chance to photograph there, before flowers were gone."

Today we also have an exclusive interview with Sasha, as well as a behind-the-scenes video from this shoot at the bottom of the post!

Q: When did your passion for photography first blossom?

A: I got passionate about photography since I bought my first camera in late 2008 and since then it was slowly growing and shaping into something more important and bigger.

Q: What inspires your creativity the most?

A: At the moment it’s nature. I love to shoot outside, on nice locations or weird places, to incorporate nature elements with models, to add something to a story. Also emotions and mood have big impact on my photos.

Q: We absolutely love your series titled 'Covered in Peonies'! Please tell us a little more about the experience you had whilst capturing these images?

A: ‘Covered in Peonies’ was my the most unlucky shoot actually. I was planning it for few months, putting together all details, picking dresses, making headpieces for models, thinking about emotions that I want to show on photos. But few days before the shoot models changed their mind about a shoot, then a dress that I rented from Holland went to a wrong address and finally had to move a shoot because of the rain. But other models were found, I got another dress and our shooting day was full of the sun. So at the end it turned out great. I was very happy with girls and work of my make up artist, the location made us all even more inspired, it was easy and pleasant to work. My boyfriend was helping and also making behind the scenes video. I was very happy that I didn’t give up and made that shoot.

Q: What does an average day in the life of Sasha look like?

A: My normal day is basically just Photoshop all day. Plus a couple of hours studying Dutch language, cooking and riding a bike when I get tired of retouching. Before some shoot I make sometimes props or headpieces, do location scouting, putting together mood boards. But I wish I could shoot more. That's what I like the most.

Q: What do you hope to achieve with your photography in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any upcoming, exciting plans that you would like to share with us?

A: Well, I hope to get better in photography, make my own exhibition, be printed in magazines more. But I try not to plan too much as I like life surprises. At the moment I’m working to buy a new camera, plan to do more self portraits and keep shooting my own concepts, as my list of ideas never ends.
