Today's photoshoot from Emily de Laurence, captured by Phoebe Hofsteede, brings two of Disney's most enchanting tales to life - the Little Mermaid and Snow White.

Emily is the talented hair stylist and shoot stylist behind these images who wanted to share this submission with you today. As an in-demand hair stylist for weddings, Emily enjoys travelling up and down the coastline for her business, Unravelled Hair.

We were also lucky enough to ask Emily some questions about this Disney-inspired shoot, and below you will find some exclusive behind-the-scenes images from the day.

Don't forget to also scroll right to the end of this post for a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot too. Enjoy!

Q: We understand that this series was inspired by a recent trip to Disneyland. Please tell us which elements of the trip particularly inspired you to create this beautiful photo shoot?

A: My shoot was completely and utterly inspired by the magic that emanates from being inside and a part of Disneyland. I grew up with Disney, loving all the films dearly. My boyfriend had been previously on a trip with his whole extended family when he was 13 and they are the greatest memories they have and share stories all the time. When this second trip came around with some of the family we were quick to jump on board, Joe (boyfriend) didn't have to be convinced and was already onto making a count down for the 8 months we had to wait. And the wait was completely and utterly worth it. Being a part of the Disney magic is only something you can understand when you're there, every where you look an unforgettable memory is being made. My heart was constantly filled with complete joy and it sung. There was no particular element that inspired me except for the magic. The magic made of love and joy that every person was feeling and sharing with one another whilst experiencing this once in a lifetime holiday.

Q: Not only did you create the various hairstyles featured in the shoot, but you also came up with the concept and organised the series to take place. Please tell us more about this process - were there any difficulties you encountered along the way and what was your most favourite part of the process?

A: I organised everybody involved, scouted the locations and made many trips to Spotlight to get everything I wanted (not needed) to bring this shoot to life. What I loved about this photoshoot process was that it felt like it was meant to be, it all came together so easily. I quickly brainstormed my ideal shoot team and everyone was magically available on the same day and uber keen to be a part of it. I found 90% of my costumes and props at Spotlight, THANK GOD FOR SPOTLIGHT! I found the perfect colours and materials for Snow's and Ariel's skirts, and my complete lack of sewing skills was covered with safety pins, again THANK GOD! haha. The locations were my only slight difficulties that I encountered. The day I chose to scout them out was a beautiful sunny day in Brisbane but as I approached the Gold Coast it turned into epic rain. I was running around forests finding the perfect spots completely saturated looking like a loon. But from the photos you can see it was well worth the lunacy. However my favourite part of the process was definitely indulging myself to HUNDREDS of hair tutorials on Youtube in the name of 'research'....even though I may have already worked out what I was going to do style wise...

Q: What does an average day in the life of Emily look like?

A: Well this definitely depends on what day of the week it is. During the week I am mainly focused on office work and Instagram-ing! I often force friends to come around so I do multiple hair styles and post them to my Instagram. I love having at least one new hair post per day, I'm a little addicted, not going to lie. However once or twice a fortnight I will be asked to be a part of photoshoots that can range from bridal shoots to fashion shoots which are always awesome. Then of course on the weekends I am travelling up and down the south-east coast of Queensland hair styling for weddings, which is so much fun!

Q: Finally, what do you hope to achieve with your hairstyling career in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any exciting upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?

A: From creating and hair styling Ethereal Wonderment I have found that I truly enjoy creating avant-garde hair styles. I want to create even bigger, more insane styles. My future goal is to become a strong part of the fashion world and be styling avant-garde hair styles for fashion runways and photoshoots. I am currently organising my next shoot which will be following this path. My inspiration is old royalty and regality. I have a hair style in mind, my eye on a dress and I am currently trying to convince a venue to please, please, please let me shoot there, haha. I will let you know how it goes, FINGERS CROSSED!
