5 Whimsical Artists You're Going to Love
When it comes to the art world, there is an incredible array of talented artists currently producing work which you’re sure to love.
Here are just 5 whimsical artists whose work I’ve been admiring lately.
Laura Garcia Serventi:
Laura Garcia Serventi is currently based in Brooklyn, but she grew up Buenos Aires in Argentina where her love of art first blossomed. She studied Painting at the School of Fine Arts ‘Prilidiano Pueyrredon’ in Buenos Aires and moved to New York in 2007. This is when she decided to start her own online store, ART and PEOPLE, where her colourful and unique artworks gained immense popularity.
What is most intriguing about her work is that she focuses on vegetation such as tropical plants, cacti and succulents. Her paintings and illustrations are inspired by her love for “the natural world”, particularly after a trip to Mexico saw her fall in love even more with these kinds of flora.

Ashley Goldberg:
Ashley Goldberg is based in Portland, Oregon, and her incredible designs have been featured on products from brands such as Urban Outfitters, Target, and Hallmark. While her artworks can be described as simple and narrative, they contain a stunning colour palette, with Ashley often utilising pastels and design elements such as dots, stripes, and splodges.
“I believe great emotion can be conveyed in a simple gesture or look. The characters I create, whether monsters or little girls, are simple, humorous, empathetic, and a little bit pathetic,” she explains.

Jenny Liz Rome:
Jenny Liz Rome is based in Southern Ontario in Canada. Her stunning sketches often feature the female form, as well as natural elements such as flowers and animals. The artist explains that she is very interested in portraying a woman’s “organic attachment to nature” and she often looks to classical artistic styles to gain inspiration for her designs. Her work uses various mediums including drawing, painting, collage, and Wacom to embrace a mixed media style.
Jenny has also contributed her work to a number of impressive clients, including Marie Claire Russia, SONY, Colombia Records, and Hair House WareHouse.

The talented artist has taken part in numerous exhibitions, and her work has even been featured in publications such as Juxtapoz New Contemporary Book, 100% Zine, and Joia Magazine Vol.25. Ceren Kilic:
Ceren Kilic is a mixed media illustrator who is based in Istanbul, Turkey. Her artworks are fascinating, representing collage-like compositions featuring geometrical lines, black and white images, and plenty of vibrant colours. She is heavily influenced by the contrast between the “solid look of the future and the sophisticated way of living of the past” and she also likes to represent dreams in her work.
Her other inspirations can be listed as old French movies, people in the 50s and 60s, geometry, celestial objects, landscapes and mineralogy.
