Photoshoot: 'Storm Child' by Katja Marr
“I see nothing. We may sink and settle on the waves. The sea will drum in my ears. The white petals will be darkened with sea water. They will float for a moment and then sink. Rolling over the waves will shoulder me under. Everything falls in a tremendous shower, dissolving me.”
This stunning series titled 'Storm Child' was captured by the talented Katja Marr.
Katja is a 21-year-old film photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. Of today's photoshoot, she explains:
"This 35mm series is about a water woman. Born of the storm, she is a daughter of oceans and skies. Emma [model] and I are both lovers of myth and fairytale, sharing a fascination for mermaids and water spirits. I wanted to capture a sense of wonder and innocence alongside images of a clearing storm. For me, a storm clearing over the ocean is one of the most relaxing things to behold. It fills me with awe and calm."
