Bonnie Sveen is certainly one talented lady. When we recently came across her energetic and spirited artworks on Instagram, we were surprised to find such a familiar face behind each of these works. Bonnie is a popular actress on the Australian television series Home and Away, and we’re sure even those of our readers who aren’t from Australia would recognise the iconic series full of surf, sun and sand.

When Bonnie isn’t extremely busy working as an actress, however, then she is creating one-of-a-kind artworks featuring loved ones, self-portraits and wildlife. Bonnie’s colourful creations are so full of life that they seem to leap off the page in front of your very own eyes. We love the mixture of organic and free-spirited lines combined with facial features so realistic that they cannot help but hold your gaze.

The artist explains her practice, stating: “I use a variety of different mediums including acrylic ink, acrylic paints, oil pastel and prismacolor pencils to achieve the most vibrant, radiant results, which I see as an extension of myself and the energy I carry.”

With titles including ‘Gratitude’, ‘Sunday Dreaming’ and ‘Give Me Balance’, one quickly notices that Bonnie is an uplifting, creative and dreamy soul. We cannot wait to see where her brilliant art career takes her in the future, and we will certainly be keeping an eye out for her new works.
